Horst Paul Weber plays the guitar since his youth. After getting first experiences playing the classical guitar more than 30 years ago, inspired by the music of Ralph Towner and his art of improvisation, he found his musical passion in chamber jazz music. The early ECM records were one of his major influences.

The music of Horst Paul Weber is authentic. The songs are own and impressionistic compositions and begin often spontaneously with an improvisation. The philosophy behind them is to find his own way, his own voice and to sound just like himself.

"Spacious and meditative – like going on a walk and finally noticing subtle things you’ve been too rushed to notice before." (Annie Aronson's impression of the song Balladesque: radioguitar.com, Palo Alto)
